Sentence টিতে বলা হয়েছে ৫ মিনিট সময় আছে , এর মধ্যে বা ৫ মিনিটের পূর্বে অবশ্য পৌঁছতে হবে। এক্ষেত্রে 'in' appropriate হবে না , কেননা নির্দিষ্ট কোনো সময় বা কোনো সময়ের মধ্যে বোঝাতে সাধারণত ' in' হয়। যেমন - I will come in an hour. তারিখ বা সময় বোঝাতে ' on' ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন - I will come by 5 pm. এ Sentence দ্বারা বোঝাচ্ছে আমি বিকেল ৫টার আগেই আসব। সুতরাং appropriate preposition হবে ' by' দ্বারা নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের পূর্বে বোঝায়, যেমন - I will come by 5 pm. এ Sentence দ্বারা সাধারণত সময়ের ব্যাপ্তি বোঝায়, যেমন - Chameli has been reading for an hour. সুতরাং 'for' ও উপরিউক্ত Sentence - এ হবে না।
